Playa De Gulpiyuri — A Beach Without The Sea

Playa De Gulpiyuri — A Beach Without The Sea

Playa De Gulpiyuri — A Beach Without The Sea

This amazing place is located in Spain near the small town of Llanes, in the north of the country. Its main feature is that it is surrounded on all sides by hills covered with scrub and it has no exit to the sea.
The Playa de Gulpiyuri is located in about 300 feet from the Bay of Biscay, in the Atlantic Ocean. Ocean water seeps through the huge amount of underwater labyrinth of caves. Therefore, this beach is also sensitive to the ebb and flow. While lying on the beach, you wouldn't be able to see the beautiful horizon of the ocean, but be sure that you bathe in salt water.

Floating Wooden Exbury Egg House

Floating Wooden Exbury Egg House

Floating Wooden Exbury Egg House

The association of SPUD Group, PAD Studio and Stephen Turner developed the project of a floating wooden house Exbury Egg. The tiny home offers the space designed to be a temporary laboratory. There is only the minimum necessary: a shower, a stove, a seat, small storage systems and a hammock bed. The Exbury Egg uses only the sun as a source of energy. The nice wooden color creates an atmosphere of relaxation and harmony with nature. The form of the house attracts attention, and, at the same time, it is perfectly adapted to the natural landscape of the riverbanks.

The AquaDom was opened in 2004. It cost about 12.8 million euros. The overall construction of the aquarium was designed and built by International Concept Management, Inc.. The acrylic cylinder was constructed by the U.S. company Reynolds Polymer Technology. It is now the main attraction of the Berlin Sea Life Centre.
The outside cylinder was manufactured on-site from four pieces; the inside cylinder for the elevator was delivered in one piece. The Aquadom is the largest acrylic cylindrical aquarium in the world, with a diameter of about 11 metres, and it is built on a 9 metre tall foundation. Filled with 1,000,000 litres of water, it contains over 1,500 fish of 50 species. The feeding of the fish and the cleaning of the fish tank is performed daily by 3-4 divers.
